Testimony for the CD “Herança” by Grupo Vocal Olisipo

I have been collaborating with Portuguese ensemble Grupo Vocal Olisipo and its director Armando Possante in the edition of the group’s latest CD, titled Herança (Heritage), which I think will be launched by the end of the year. I have contributed with several music editions of works by Manuel Mendes and Duarte Lobo and eighteenth-century composers Pedro Vaz Rego, André Rodrigues Lopo, Francisco José Perdigão and Miguel Anjo do Amaral, music that I have been studying for my PhD project. I also contributed with the text for the CD booklet.

In this video (in Portuguese) recorded at the fountain of the beautiful Pátio dos Colegiais (College of Espírito Santo, University of Évora) I call the attention for the new and, in some cases, first recordings of this pratically unknown eighteenth-century repertory of Évora Cathedral masters.
