Grupo Vocal Olisipo Concert in Évora Cathedral

Tomorrow, Saturday, 18h30 Grupo Vocal Olisipo will perform at Évora Cathedral. This concert is part of the cycle “Lent in Évora Cathedral Music School”, promoted by the association Eborae Musica and I think it was as postponed concert since this cycle usually happens in early Spring.

Grupo Vocal Olisipo’s programme comes from their latest CD “Herança”, in which I was involved both as consultant and providing most of the music editions used. The programme will feature music of composers associated and with activity at Évora Cathedral during the seventeenth to early nineteenth centuries. Names include Duarte Lobo, Manuel Cardoso, Diogo Dias Melgaz, Pedro Vaz Rego, Francisco José Perdigão and Miguel Anjo do Amaral.
