The musical compositions presented in this page are the result of a concert programme made in close collaboration between Luís Henriques (musicological research) and Grupo Vocal Olisipo, directed by Armando Possante (performance). The programme was presented in three concerts in Madeira Island, Évora and Lisbon, this last one broadcasted by Portuguese public classical radio Antena 2. The works are also available in modern editions through the Edições MPMP, by Movimento Patrimonial pela Música Portuguesa (see links next to each video).

The programme/project features sacred vocal polyphonic works by composers active in Évora Cathedral throughout the eighteenth century, most of them rare modern auditions of these works. It ranges from works by well-known composer Diogo Dias Melgaz to lesser-known composers such as Pedro Vaz Rego and André Rodrigues Lopo, the unknown Francisco José Perdigão and Miguel Anjo do Amaral and the enigmatic Afonso Lobo, whose motets contradict their general attribution to early seventeenth-century Spanish composer Alonso Lobo.
