IX Cistercian Residency in Évora

The ninth edition of the Cistercian Residency S. Bento de Cástris will take place next 17-18 September in the Portuguese city of Évora. This year’s edition is themed “Nature, Landscape, and Locus: the Monastic Houses, the interpretation and uses of the natural resources”.

The programme for the 17th includes a morning visit to this former feminine Cistercian monastery’s inclosure, and, during the afternoon, there will be talks with invited researchers in monastery’s church.

The following day includes the opening of a documental exhibition at Évora Public Library, as well as a tour to selected documentation regarding the Monastery of São Bento de Cástris housed in this institution.
