Talk at the XX Workshop Évora Cathedral Music School

Na próxima quinta-feira, dia 5 de Outubro, estarei no Convento dos Remédios pelas 10h00 a participar nas XX Jornadas Internacionais “Escola de Música da Sé de Évora”. Na minha apresentação, que integra o painel sobre Música Sacra em Évora no Século XVIII”, irei falar sobre a polifonia vocal na Catedral durante o século XVIII e a continuidade desta prática na Catedral, como também as novas características trazidas a este estilo pelos desenvolvimentos do estilo concertado.

Next Thursday, October 5th, I’ll be in the Convent of Remédios at 10h00 participating in the XX International Workshop “Évora Cathedral Musical School”. In my presentation, that is part of the pannel about Sacred Music in Évora during the Eighteenth Century, I will be talking about vocal polyphony in Évora Cathedral during the eighteenth century and the continuity of this practice in the Cathedral as also as the new features brought to this style by the developments of the concertato style.
