Art & Heritage Meeting in S. Jorge Island

Next weekend, 13-14 May, I’ll be in São Jorge Island (Azores) for the fifth edition of the Art & Heritage Meeting promoted by the friends of ACROARTE.

After four years (last edition was in 2019), we’re back to organising this event with some new features in its fifth edition, one being a workshop on painting Orthodox Icons. We will also have an exhibition of the works made during the workshop preceded by a commented concert with a programme by Portuguese twentieth-century composers Francisco de Lacerda and Fernando Lopes-Graça for piano for four hands.

I’ll be chairing the two panels of conferences (seven in total) on the afternoon of May 14th at the ACROARTE building which will be dedicated to art history, archaeology and heritage of the Azores islands.
