Amanhã, estarei a falar sobre sinos no Fórum Eugénio de Almeida por volta das 12h00. Esta conversa informal integra o programa do Dia Aberto 2017 promovido pela Fundação Eugénio da Almeida e insere-se nas visitas guiadas e sessões temáticas a realizar no Fórum.

Esta conversa irá focar a importância simbólica e função dos sinos nas comunidades como reguladores da vida quotidiana, e também o seu uso enquanto instrumentos musicais. A conversa decorrerá durante a visita à obra Vamos manter o nosso próprio meio-dia, do artista David Horvitz, em exposição no Fórum Eugénio de Almeida.

Tomorrow, I will be talking about bells in the Fórum Eugénio de Almeida at 12h00. This informal talk is integrated in the programme of the Open Day 2017 promoted by the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation and is part of the guided visits and thematic sessions that will take place in the Fórum.

This talk will feature the symbolic importance and function of bells in the communities as rulers of daily life, and also their use as musical instruments. This will take place during the visit to the work Let us keep Our Own Noon, by artist David Horvitz, in exhibition at the Fórum Eugénio de Almeida.
